Sharing Knowledge
The Yogacampus Yoga Therapy Diploma course, previously offered in conjunction with the Yoga Biomedical Trust, has become well established over the past fifteen years and has played a leading role in creating a new complementary health profession – that of yoga therapist. We have qualified many yoga teachers as professional yoga therapists and we now look forward to being able to qualify many more through our newly updated Yoga Therapy Diploma Course. This exciting new course, taught by leading UK yoga therapists, has been completely revised to comply with the new UK standards for yoga therapists set by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council - and is a wonderful way for yoga teachers to deepen and expand their skills in working therapeutically with students.
This exciting course is one of very few UK trainings in the growing area of yoga therapy. With a practical grounding in key yoga therapy skills, as well as a synthesis of yoga therapy approaches from different traditions, the training provides a balanced mix of theory and practical work, with an emphasis on viewing the person as an holistic whole, leading to understanding of how to tailor a practice to an individual rather than relying on prescriptive practices for particular conditions.
