With contributions from midwives and a detailed training manual this course provides both the theoretical and practical training necessary to teach yoga classes specifically for pregnant women. Sessions will include mantra, mudra, nada yoga and pranavidya practices, encouraging you to think for yourself and to develop your own style and method of teaching pregnancy yoga within a clear framework of safety guidelines.

The emphasis of the course is on supporting healthy pregnancy through appropriate holistic yoga practices. Please read the prospectus below for additional information on this course.

During the course there will be opportunities for teaching practice, as well as informal assessments. There is also some assignments to complete both before the first weekend and during the course. The pre-course assignments will be sent to you as part of the email booking confirmation you receive so please do look out for this.

Uma Dinsmore-Tuli was first introduced to yoga at the age of four, has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1986 and qualified as a yoga therapist in 1999. Read Uma Dinsmore-Tuli's full biography.

A dedicated Astanga practitioner and teacher, and mother of two children, as well as an experienced teacher of pregnancy and post-natal yoga, Donna has a particular interest in how yoga can be used specifically to benefit women during pregnancy and beyond. Read Donna Southwell's full biography.


Certification

On successful fulfilment of all courses requirements you will receive a Yogacampus Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training certificate of completion.

Are you eligible?

Open to existing yoga teachers of any yoga tradition with an interest in teaching specialist pregnancy classes and to trainee yoga teachers from any teacher training course, so long as you have some experience of teaching. We also will consider applications from midwives and medical practitioners who have a strong yoga practice.

We accept payment by electronic transfer from international students, please note that a £7 bank transfer fee must in this case be added to the total course price.
