Karen is Director and Co-Founder of MindfulnessUK. Having spent her childhood in Australia, she moved to the UK and gained a Degree in Nursing Studies and RGN in London, developing her therapeutic skills with the addition of further modalities over the years. Karen has also been teaching yoga for 30 years. Throughout her career, Karen has worked in multidisciplinary teams including nurses, doctors, psychologists, a Pain Consultant, therapists and complementary practitioners, and has been offering the skills of mindfulness to patients for 16 years.
Teaching mindfulness at all levels, Karen offers a very hand-on, practical approach to the application and use of mindfulness practices, skills and techniques to individuals, groups and organisations. Karen has a warm, intuitive, friendly and professional manner and she uses her extensive clinical, therapeutic experience to breathe life in to her teaching.
Also on the teaching faculty for the Yoga Therapy Diploma at Yogacampus in London, Karen has published several articles on mindfulness and regularly attends mindfulness conferences at Bangor University and Breathworks.http://www.mindfulnessuk.com/
