Sue Skelton RN BSc (Hons) has worked for over 17 years within the NHS in various Oncology and Palliative Care roles, working through the ranks from Staff Nurse in busy Oncology Centres, managing chemotherapy administration for both inpatients and outpatients, to working for 9 years as a Macmillan Nurse and then more recently to becoming Head of Community Palliative Care Services for East Berkshire. She has worked in all settings from Acute hospitals, Community and more latterly Hospice.
Sue discovered yoga in 2007, and has been practicing ever since attending retreats in Egypt and India. She practices various styles and enjoys the strength that Vinyasa gives her along with the flexibility and meditative properties of Yin, which she incorporates into the classes she teaches.
Sue completed her 200hr RYT Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course with Jill Jones in 2018. Since then, she has attended various training courses including Yin Yoga, she has studied Pre/Post natal and mother and baby yoga with Sally Parkes and more recently she studied Yoga for people living with cancer with Jude Murray
Sue, as a qualified nurse has a specialist interest in the therapeutic properties of yoga and believes that yoga can be of benefit to everyone with both physical and mental health issues. She is currently studying to be a Yoga Therapist.
