Leila Stuart BA, LLB, C-IAYT is a retired Registered Massage Therapist who has practiced and taught yoga for several decades. She opened one of the first dedicated yoga therapy studios in Canada and created and taught an innovative training for 15 years, The Anatomy of Yoga Therapy. Her transformational system of therapeutic yoga focuses on experiential anatomy, nervous system repatterning, and embodiment of the deeper teachings of yoga. Whether facing physical, mental or spiritual issues, students are coached toward a felt sense of their wholeness by cultivating an awareness of their “living” anatomy and inherent body wisdom. Students are empowered to apply this intelligence practically to become active participants in their own healing process.
With a deep love and intuitive knowledge of experiential anatomy, Leila specializes in transforming academic information into somatic awareness and life changing experience. She is an international teacher, online educator, and conference presenter. Leila is the author of Experiential Anatomy: Therapeutic Applications of Embodied Movement and Awareness and co-author of Pathways to a Centered Body with Donna Farhi.
