ELECTIVE | Embodied Relax and Restore Teacher Training
The full training (of all 5 modules) offers a deep inquiry into somatic and neurological recalibration, regeneration, and repatterning, supporting rest as a lived, sustainable state of being.
What if Restorative Yoga was more than a collection of supported postures?
What if it was a process of learning how to relate differently to your body, nervous system, perceptions and experience?
Embodied Relax and Restore is a transformative five-module training that explores Restorative Yoga as an embodied process rather than a set of techniques. Through experiential learning, guided practice, somatic inquiry and reflective integration, you will investigate the conditions that support genuine rest, restoration and self-regulation.
You will explore:
Module 1: Cellular Restoration
Explore the body's innate capacity for regeneration and repair. Through restorative practices and inquiry, you'll investigate the physiological conditions that support recovery, resilience and restoration at a cellular level.
Module 2: Somatic Restoration
Learn how comfort, support and ease influence the nervous system's ability to settle. This module explores bodily sensation, breath responsiveness, tissue tone and the conditions that allow the body to feel safe enough to rest.
Module 3: Pratyahara
Examine the yogic principle of Pratyahara as an embodied experience rather than a philosophical concept. Explore sensory awareness, perception, motor response and the relationship between the somatic and autonomic nervous systems. Discover how Restorative Yoga can support the natural settling of attention and a reduction in sensory overwhelm.
Module 4: The Mind of Restorative Yoga
Investigate the mental and emotional dimensions of restorative practice. Explore how attention, awareness, perception and habitual patterns influence our capacity for rest, presence and regulation.
Module 5: Being Restorative Yoga
The culmination of the training brings together the themes explored throughout the programme. Rather than focusing solely on doing restorative practices, this module explores what it means to embody a restorative way of being in daily life, practice and teaching.
This training is for you if...
- you have completed Relax and Restore (or Relax and Renew) Level 1 or Level 2
are seeking an alternative to courses that are technique-driven, fast-paced, or purely informational
