What will be covered?

The two day course will cover a range of topics that reflect the full spectrum of yoga, from asana, yoga therapy, pranayama, meditation, general health to dietary advice and nutrition. The underlying question being addressed throughout the course is “ how does one live in the wisdom of yoga, in today’s world? Dr. Kumar will highlight the holistic teachings of the great Krishnamacharya, with a focus on the therapeutic and metabolic effects of Yoga.

The course will surprise, entertain, inform and energise you. Relax into the guidance of this inspirational teacher and enjoy the distillation of a lifetime’s study and exploratory practise.

What is Dr Kumar’s expertise?

Dr Kumar has studied in 86 schools of yoga and with teachers including Krishnamacharya, BKS Iyengar and Swami Vishnudevananda. He uses this knowledge and his experience as an award-winning scientist to bring fresh perspectives to yoga. His teaching is deeply rooted in the purity of authentic traditions and he emphasises the importance of upholding the pure science of yoga maintained by these ancient lineages and applying them in a balanced and holistic way. The depth and breadth of his knowledge offers a unique opportunity for those who wish to develop their understanding of yoga at an advanced level.
