Choosing a course is rarely a simple decision.
For many yoga teachers and practitioners, questions around timing, cost, relevance, and teaching calibre all come into play, particularly when considering deeper study that sits beyond technique and into lived experience.
This free intro session offers a window into the thinking behind Being Yoga: Through Personal and Professional Relationships, a course developed by Yogacampus as part of its evolving approach to advanced yoga education.
In this recorded conversation, Yogacampus Director Kristen Macpherson is joined by senior teacher and educator Stamford Wong to explore a this course, the format and the incredible teaching faculty.
The “state” of yoga has so many benefits and can be used much more widely in our lives. To become more effective in widening access to yoga practices, teachers need to know how to share simpler integrated Body-Breath-Mind practices, able to talk about the benefits in a professional and authoritative way, able to present themselves authentically and with wisdom outside of typical yoga settings.
The course explores yoga as a relational state, one that informs how we communicate, listen, lead, and respond in everyday life. Learn to share yoga in inclusive, accessible ways that widen access to its benefits across personal, professional, and interdisciplinary environments.
Learning From an Experienced, International Faculty
A key intention behind this course is to bring together voices with depth, longevity, and lived experience in yoga education.
Alongside Stamford Wong, the wider faculty includes:
- Judith Hanson Lasater
- Susan Granfield
- Angie Gopal
- Charlotta Martinus
Each brings a distinct perspective, yet all share a commitment to yoga as a living, relational practice, one that can be shared with integrity across a wide range of settings.
The intro session offers a sense of how these voices come together, and the kind of dialogue, reflection, and inquiry the course is designed to support.
