Nadis, Circulation and the Joints: Friday 5th June

In yoga, the nadis are described as rivers of energy that flow through the body. They are circulatory pathways of blood, lymph and nerve that flow through all the connective tissues. There are thousands of small tributaries throughout the body that move via arcs, curves, spirals and elliptical patterns. In this immersion, we do SATYA movements and yoga postures to increase circulation through all the tissues of the body. We use rocking, circular and spiral movements to release the fascia and joints of the body. When there is uninhibited flow through the currents of the nadis there is radiant health and longevity in the body.

Holding it all Together: Yoga and Connective Tissue: Saturday 6th June

Fascia is the physical structure that holds us together. Literally. It keeps our bones upright, our organs in place and supports the pathway of the nerves. A dedicated yoga practice involves moving layer by layer through the connective tissues. While fascia is the prime mover of the body, it also a vessel for holding memory, feelings, dreams and identity. In this class we practice movements that enhance the flow of fascia through the body. We also track how thoughts, feeling, memory and a sense of “I” are imprinted on the connective tissues.

SATYA I: Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement

Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement (SATYA), created by Tias Little, is Prajna Yoga’s “yin” style practice. All movements complement asana training, and guide students away from “doing” to “being”. Yoga students and teachers, mind-body therapists and people in the healing arts benefit from this training. Join Tias for the SATYA immersion from Sunday 7th to Thursday 11th June 2020 on your way to becoming a certified Prajna Yoga SATYA teacher. Find out more here.

Certification

Upon completion of this workshop, you will receive a Yogacampus Certificate of Completion.

If you wish to gain certification from Prajna Yoga as a SATYA teacher, you are required to take the SATYA 1 intensive running 7th to 11th June 2020 and complete additional hours of self-study. You will then have 45 hours of SATYA 1 training.

To become a SATYA teacher, all SATYA courses are required – please see the Prajna Yoga website for further information on the certification process: https://www.prajnayoga.net/yoga-training/satya/
