Workshop Description

We are all born with an innate response to rhythm and movement; this inherent movement is well documented as one of the oldest planetary yogas.

Rhythm and Prana Flow® is the evolution of Yoga Trance Dance. It is an exploration of the power of rhythm within movement meditation to embody the natural flow. Beginning with a ritual entry into Prana Flow—Rhythm and Prana Flow is the experience of the rhythm of the pulse of life as initiating pathways of prana flow.

Who is this workshop for?

This is open to all yoga teachers and practitioners who are interested in the interconnections of yoga and dance, this Rhythm and Prana Flow intensive provides the basic tools to explore the foundations of movement meditation and yoga trance dance.

Props

Please bring your own mat and any props you need to practice. Please note the venue does not provide any mats or props.

Hours

This workshops totals 20 CPD hours.

Certification

Upon completion of this workshop, you will receive a Yogacampus Certificate of Completion.


Precautions

We are delighted to be recommencing our face to face courses after many months of online only study. Whilst we are keen to begin practising in person again, we are continuing to ensure that necessary social distancing and health precautions are in place, with the aim of keeping everyone safe. Meet the Teacher

Shiva Rea serves the innate intelligence within nature and our rhythmic bodies. As a global prana vinyasa teacher, Shiva empowers people from all walks of life to experience the flow of breath and our extraordinary energetic body. She has done fieldwork and offered yoga in over 50 countries from urban centers to ancient sites, large-scale festivals to indigenous Chumash grandmother’s council. As the founder of Samudra Global School for Living Yoga, her home practice media, teacher trainings, adventure retreats, online programs and musical collaborations provide resources for people around the world to bring a transforming flow into their everyday life. Her activism extends from the worldwide Global Mala Project, to Yoga Energy Activism and gatherings for women. Her latest book, “Tending the Heart Fire – Living in Flow with the Pulse of Life” is about the history and embodiment of our energetic heart and living vinyasa.

Meet the Co-Teacher

Anne Malone is an internationally recognised singer/songwriter and musician, as well as a lover of yoga and meditation. This combination gives her a deep understanding of how music and movement flow and unfold with ease and grace, creating a wonderful world of sacred sound.

As a musician and a student of yoga, Anne Malone has a deep understanding of how music and movement flow and unfold with ease and grace, creating a wonderful world of sacred sound. Anne is an internationally recognised singer/songwriter, with a variety of CDs, one of which “Tender Lullaby” was nominated for the NME Awards in 2009 and entered the iTunes top 10 charts. Her passion for music has taken her on a journey of sound from the vibrant music of Dublin in Ireland to the exotic rhythms of Latin America, the eclectic sounds of USA, and the rich folk traditions of Europe. Anne’s love of yoga and meditation has added depth of devotion and physical awareness throughout her journey, and by combining her training in Sacred Sound (Chris James), The Journey (Brandon Bays), Flow Yoga (Shiva Rea) and Shamanic Ceremony (Hart Lodge), she is offering a unique yogic musical exploration.
