Advanced Restorative Teacher Training:Therapeutic Aspects of Restorative Yoga

This Advanced Restorative Teacher Training will cover more complex aspects of teaching restorative yoga, including therapeutic aspects of inversions, more about the therapeutic relationship between the student and the teacher, pranayama and Ayurveda.

Course Information

Those who teach restorative yoga frequently discover the amazing power of this practice. This 30 Hour Advanced Restorative Yoga Teacher Training will cover more complex aspects of teaching restorative yoga than the basic Relax and Renew® course. Included will be work with postures that may benefit anxiety, depression, infertility, dysmennorrhoea and other conditions. A section of the workshop will focus on the therapeutic aspect of inversions.

This advanced training also goes into more depth about the therapeutic relationship between the student and the teacher, pranayama, some Ayurveda and more work with the organs. It will also give you training about how to work with students who have more physical/mental challenges.

To be eligible for this advanced training you need to have completed Judith’s Relax and Renew®: Learning to Teach Restorative Yoga Level 1, and you should ideally hold a current Relax and Renew® Trainer certificate sent to you by Judith. See more details on the right under Eligibility.

Please note that you are required to bring with you to each day of the training a copy of Judith’s book, Relax and Renew: Restful Yoga for Stressful Times plus the Reading Packet that will be emailed to you when you register. You should also bring a yoga mat, an eyebag, a hand towel and a digital or disposable camera to each day of the training. All other props will be provided.

Before the training you are asked to read The Heart Speaks: a cardiologist reveals the secret language of healing by Mimi Gaurneri, and it is strongly recommended that you read The Female Brain and The Male Brain, both by Louann Brizendine.

At the end of the event the props will be available to purchase at a discount. The props will include blankets, bolsters, blocks, bricks and straps. We mention this as you may wish to consider bringing a bag to take home any you may decide to purchase.

Certification

On completion of this intensive, as well as receiving a Yogacampus certificate of completion, you will also have the option to gain certification from Judith as an Advanced Relax and Renew® Teacher. For this you will have to attend all sessions of the training (no exceptions!) and complete a project, to be submitted within 12 weeks of the end of the training, which, if completed successfully, will entitle you to certification from Judith as an Advanced Relax and Renew® teacher and to be noted as such on the www.restorativeyogateachers.com teachers directory. There will be a fee of £85 payable for the marking of this project. Judith will explain this aspect during the training.
